Regularly
Sharpen
A sharp knife is a safe knife. Over time, even the best blades will lose their edge, so regular sharpening is essential. We recommend using a whetstone or our diamond grit roller sharpener. Maintain a consistent angle of 15–20° (which our diamond grit roller is set at) as you glide the blade across the stone or diamond grit, alternating sides evenly. With proper care, your knife will stay razor-sharp, making every cut smooth, precise, and safe.
Always
Hand Wash
Always wash your knives by hand with warm water and mild soap. Avoid leaving them to soak, as this can damage both the blade and handle. Knives should never go in the dishwasher — the high heat and harsh detergents can cause warping, dulling, and handle damage. After washing, dry your knife immediately with a soft cloth to protect against rust and keep it performing at its best.
Your
Safety
Always use a stable cutting surface such as a wooden or plastic chopping board, never glass, stone, or metal, as these will quickly dull the blade. Use a controlled, steady motion rather than excessive force, and keep your fingers tucked safely away using the “claw grip” technique. Respecting both your knife and your ingredients ensures cleaner cuts, longer edge retention, and safer cooking every time.
